This site was created as a platform for free search engine optimization tools.

Free?

To keep things simple, throughout the site I'll be using the term "free" as in "free beer"; meaning you can use these tools without cost, but in some cases you may not have access to the source, be able to modify, and/or be able to share them. The GNU Project explains the difference here.

Me

I'm just a schmuck. I offer web development and promotion services on another site over here. I'm also an open source software fan, I've got a site for new SUSE Linux users, and I started and continue to maintain the SUSE Wiki. These two interests were the motivation behind this site.

I'm a moderator for some of the SEO forums at WebProWorld and an editor at DMOZ. OK, I'm done because I'm starting to feel like "Miss June": "...my favorite color is blue and I like horseback riding and moonlit walks on the beach. My turn offs include body hair and men who smoke...".

If you know anything about Houston, Texas, I could use a hand at the Houston Wiki.

If you know of a free SEO tool that is not listed on this site, please submit it. I'll also list non-free tools if they are particularly cool or very cheap. Bad programs, spyware, etc. will not be listed. Any suggestions or comments are warmly welcomed.
